Penny Davis

Bupa: Brand, Customer and Corporate Affairs Director

Penny has spent her career building trust – in leaders, in brands, and in movements. With a background mixing marketing and corporate affairs, she has worked across financial services, government, NGOs and now healthcare.

Penny joined Bupa in Hong Kong in 2019 and is Director of Brand, Customer and Corporate Affairs. She leads a growing function that is focused on delivering Bupa’s purpose of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.

A passion for advocacy has been a common thread throughout. This has taken her to Cambodia as an advisor to a microfinance NGO and working for Members of Parliament, including being headhunted as the Political Adviser to the Australian Federal Minister for Small Business and Assistant Treasurer.

Starting her career at ANZ Bank in marketing and digital innovation, Penny led marketing communications for affluent customers and financial inclusion programs.

At Bupa Australia she launched the industry’s first loyalty program, Bupa Plus, for the company’s 4 million insurance customers and developed Bupa’s community mental wellbeing strategy, partnering with Kids Helpline to provide over 100,000 Australian children with wellbeing and resilience skills each year.

Penny is passionate about financial and health inclusion and the critical role that trust plays in our local and international companies and institutions.
